Variations: Li-wildcat, Powercat

The Lili or Powercat can be found around Willow Mountain in China. It barks like a dog and looks like a pig with spurs on its feet. Its appearance foretells considerable earthwork construction in the district.

Aha, so another of those phonetic things like “Celestial Horse”. Thanks for the info, I cannot comment on this since I am not familiar with the language.

Mountains and Sea is too far from now.It had finished in more than 2 thousand years ago.Almost all monsters’names from it just a pronunciation. By the way it is chicken feet in original book. The object on chicken fee is translated in spur.

Sounds like a prophecy that you could make true. You see a Lili, you get everyone in the area to start digging.
Did it have chicken feet in the source material?

Spurs on its legs, and its feet looked rather birdy in the original illustration

It might even be a good idea to try to game the system by doing so and retroactively cancelling a project that means, say, everybody getting conscripted to tunnel through Willow Mountain.

How much power would you say it has compared to a standard cat?

Sounds a bit like my kind of prophetic monster. I love digging around and putting fancy flower seeds and stuff like that. Too bad there’s only so much time to do that.
