This small Northwoods denizen makes a sound like the whistle of a boiling teakettle. It walks backwards by choice, and clouds of steam come out of its nostrils. Nothing else is known of its appearance as few have ever seen it.

Now I have this mental image of standing in the woods. A faint whistling sound pierces the silence. This thing walks backwards beside you, disappearing into the woods with its whistle fading behind it.

I imagine this moment: you walk in the woods, hear the whistle, spot the Teakettler. You make eye contact then it waits a moment and just starts walking backwards, vanishing in the mist, while still maintaining eye contact.

I think we have a strong candidate if you ever decide to open up a storefront selling ABC Plushies. This guy or the Muscaliet.

I like the Teakettler because there is not much known about it by default.

Well since I love “eldricht abomination” type of monsters, how does ‘The Ass with Three Legs’, also from Book of Imaginary Beings or ‘Kujata’ from Islamic mythology sound like?
