That would be amazing but at the same time, I don’t want you to feel like you have to do this rather than what you need to to address in whatever way you can, the problems mentioned in previous posts.
I do hope I’m not too late–personally, you have introduced me to lots of fascinating and inspiring folklore that I would never have seen otherwise. If you do return, it would be a boon to a lot of people to see what you have in store; and, should you ever get around to publishing that book, I will race to get my copy.
That would be absolutely fantastic. I’ve been coming back regularly since the hiatus and I hope for your return. I often worry that the site will disappear. If one day you decide to make an ePub or pdf encyclopedia, I will buy it with great pleasure, whatever the price. Your references are impeccable and the illustrations show great talent. Your return would be a pleasure for many people.
I personally would love for you to come back. Your site is easy to use for the blind and it is hard for me to find sites that are like that. But for you if you really enjoy what you made here and have enough time for it come back. If you don’t and let me be selfish for a bit. Bring your ass back anyway and give it another chance.
OMG YES!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!! WE LOVE THE CREATURES!!!! THE BOOK OF CREATURES IS ONE OF THE BEST SITES ON THE INTERNET FOR MYTHOLOGY ALL OVER THE WORLD!!!!
Yes! I’ve been reading this for the past days. It’s so cool and amazing, if you truly want to come back feel free, but make sure to prioritize yourself =D
Absolutely! I’ve been hoping for this to return and occasionally checking back in to see if it had. There’s nothing quite like it out there and it’s a treasure trove for any monster or mythology/folklore nerd. I hope you’ve been well and I will absolutely be tuning in if you do decide to return 😀
hey Don’tquit i love learning all about these cool and cute and slightlyscary creatures .
and you should definitelygo check out the rangen speices generator
Hey quick question. I have heard that there is a south american mythical creature called a “wihwin”. Is this a genuine mythical creature or another modern concept. Also was it, if it is a genuine indiginous creature, originally a horse or was it a deer or camelid before. Or was it introduced to the americas by settlers.
This is without question my favorite website. Do what makes you feel most emotionally healthy, but know that you’ve got some pretty die hard followers, and I’m one of them. 🙂
Hello yes I would like to become the umpteenth person saying “MORE BOOK OF CREATURES PLEASE!”
I’ve been doing folklore research for fun over the past several years; sometimes using it to populate my D&D world. And your site has become one of the best places I can go for consolidated, well-researched info on creatures other sources don’t talk much about.
Everything I’ve posted is from actual myths and folklore, unless the authors themselves made them up (like the wulver for instance, which I should delete). All my sources are in each post.
This sounds like an amazing idea to continue abc, but only if you want to! Personally I’ve loved this website since 2021, and it would be great to see it updated again!
I’m only just discovering this site today (8/7/24). Only you can know if you should continue expanding it, but I hope at the very least you continue to maintain what you’ve already contributed. I’ve got so much to explore and I think there must be plenty of others out there who have yet to discover it.
As someone interested in history, my own ancestry, and mythology this place is a treasure. I want an actual book rn or at please a pdf I can download and print out.
This is legitimately one of my favorite websites
