  3. A well-earned break! We’ll all be here when you get back. ;D Besides, I’ve been meaning to write an email to you for quite a while now, perhaps this is a chance to finally get round to it after … three years. Maybe four or five years. I dunno … x)

  12. No matter what happens, you should be proud of the site you’ve created. You have one of the most informative and well-researched bestiaries on legendary creatures I’ve ever seen. I appreciate all your effort and creativity. I’m sorry to see that you’re unwell, whether physically or mentally. Hopefully you will recover. If circumstances really are out of your control, then I hope there will be some sort of resolution, at least.

    Please, enjoy your break as much as you can.

    • Agreed. However bad things may be, nothing can take away from what you’ve already achieved so far. You’re most certainly the best at what you do ; how many people on Earth even get to claim such a thing? Although none of us can even pretend to know what you might be going through, we’ve all experienced that same feeling of child-like awe and wonder at discovering your website, like finding a treasure trove in one’s very own backyard. You need a ”random creature” function on here because I still find entries I’ve never seen before just randomly scrolling through categories. Can you imagine yourself back before ever having created this place stumbling upon it how it is now? Regardless of how things go from now on, you have much to be proud of. A legacy.

  17. I’m so sorry to learn what you and your family are going through. Many of us have no concept of what it is like to live under the conditions you only briefly touched on.
    I hope that you can take a small measure of solace in knowing that your work has been appreciated. I know that doesn’t put food on your table or provide any more safety for your family.
    My thoughts are with you and them.
    May you find strength and be strengthened.
